Inquiry Taha Tinana - Move it Mama

On Monday 25th February, Lisa Fong came into school to teach Rooms 1 and 4 all about the importance of exercise. We learned about how exercise releases endorphins that make you happy and how it helps us to look after our bodies. We started with a warm up bean challenge, where we did a Mexican bean, jumping bean, flat bean and baked bean. My favourite one was the Mexican bean, this is when you say ooo la la. Then we started the workout, we had to do lunges, burpees, mountain climbers and squats, it was hard work.

This is how you do a burpee; you jump up and then lie flat on the ground and then jump up again. To do mountain climbers you need to be in a plank position on your hands and bring your knees to your chest like you are running. For lunges you need to lean on one of your legs and you switch them around. To do squats you need to put you hands together and sit down like you are in an invisible chair. It was really tiring to do the work out.
